The Alaska Back Pain Protocol – Who's It For and How Does It Work?

The Alaska Back Pain Protocol (ABPP) was developed in 2001 to treat people with back pain and it has helped 9000+ people.
Chronic back pain can cause::
- Weakness,
- Depression,
- And anger.
Even worse, chronic back pain is often treated with addictive pain medications or risky surgery, both of which can lead to real problems.
Do you Suffer from back pain?
Do you want to find relief without the risks of surgery or high-powered painkillers?
If so, the ABPP might be a great option. It is a revolutionary treatment with a proven 92% success rate (compared to 24% from surgery).
The ABPP uses four different tactics to reduce irritation and inflammation in your back and improve range of motion and flexibility. Continued treatment can keep your spine healthy and prevent degenerative diseases like arthritis and spinal stenosis.
The tactics we use are:
- Massage/Physical Therapy Modalities;
- IDD (previously DRS);
- Chiropractic Adjustments;
- Rehabilitative Therapy.
We’ve found, after years of research and experience, that these therapies work together to help combat a variety of causes of back pain.
But let’s take a closer look at each of these:
- Massage Therapy/Physical Therapy Modalities: Massage Therapy involves the manual manipulation of muscles along the back by a trained massage therapist. This reduces tension and promotes healing. Physical Therapy modalities use certain exercises and specific movements to reduce inflammation and provide pain relief.
- The IDD System: Formerly the DRS system, the IDD system uses a special machine to decompress your spine and axial skeleton (trunk and head). This reduces tension in your lumbar spine and can prevent and/or heal many spinal issues such as degenerative disc disease and herniated discs. IDD Therapy decompresses your spine to provide relief from:
- Sciatica
- Degenerative disc disease
- Or bulging discs.
- Chiropractic Care: Chiropractic care works with the musculoskeletal system. With the pressure of his hands, a trained chiropractor uses a variety of techniques to reduce inflammation, tenderness, and pain in afflicted areas. Adjusting spinal misalignments also improves the body’s nervous system. Chiropractic Massage Therapy provides relief to the muscles surrounding the spine. It can reduce:
- Swelling
- Pain
- Throbbing
- And other signs of trauma to the lower back.
- Rehabilitative Therapy: Rehabilitative therapy retrains your body to function normally again. It uses physical exercises that strengthen your muscles. Some exercises are performed at home, others here in the office. Both serve to ensure long-term relief and prevent further issues from developing.
Over time, as your lumbar system realigns, the bulk of your musculoskeletal problems will diminish if not heal entirely. And it will be due to the ABPP!
The ABPP isn’t strictly for treating back pain, though. The spine is a critical part of the entire nervous and musculoskeletal systems. Because of that, a pain in the leg, or in the wrist, or virtually anywhere else, might trace back to the spine. If so, the ABPP can often relieve that pain. A thorough examination and diagnosis, though, is needed to determine the proper course of treatment.
Recovering from back surgery can take as long as six months. In contrast, the ABPP allows you to stay active throughout your treatment. So, if you have back issues, and you want a real alternative to surgery, take a look at the ABPP.
The Alaska Back Pain Protocol is a conservative, holistic, and non-invasive treatment that is incredibly safe, has no age limits, and requires no medication, incisions, or needles.
While the results of treatment will depend on the severity of your pain, the ABPP is a great choice for people with back problems.
