Himalayan Magnesium Energy Concentrate
There has never been a better time to up your magnesium intake. One of the most vital macro-minerals, magnesium is involved in over 300 biochemical reactions and is particularly integral to bone health, energy levels, the brain, the heart and muscles. Believe it or not, muscles contain approximately 27% magnesium and bones around 60%.
The average healthy adult needs between 270 and 400mg of daily magnesium, and more may be required if you’re already deficient or battling serious health challenges. Individuals with digestive disorders such as celiac disease and chronic diarrhoea, for example, are at an increased risk of magnesium deficiency, while antibiotics also deplete the nutrient.
Himalayan Magnesium Energy Concentrate offers a great solution. Ecologically extracted without the use of chemicals or factory processes, this unrefined magnesium is sourced from the northern flank of the Himalayas, at an altitude of more than 4km. “Why is this important?” you might wonder. Well, because South Tibet is one of the least-polluted regions of the world – with no agriculture, pesticides or industry – you can be sure that the magnesium you’re getting is extremely pure, with a high energy value. The gentle method of extraction is somewhat similar to that of Celtic sea salt.
The environmental aspect is worth stressing. Dried by sun and wind, the hand-extracted magnesium is transported from Tibet in an eco-container to the coast, then shipped to Europe by boat. If you know anything about the scale of industrial magnesium mining, this is exceptionally rare. Many supplement companies source their magnesium from plants and factories in the United States, Israel or the Netherlands, where soil degradation and air pollution is a concern.
The product’s eco credentials are reinforced by EcoCert/COSMOS (COSMetic Organic Standard) certification, standards that set requirements on natural cosmetics and ensure “manufacturing processes that are environmentally sound and safe for human health.”
So, what about the magnesium itself? Yes, it’s Himalayan – but it’s also magnesium chloride. Magnesium comes in many forms, from glycinate and orotate to gluconate and citrate. However, magnesium chloride has a few unique benefits. Firstly it is completely ionized across a wide pH range – ensuring more reliable uptake. Secondly, and as noted by magnesium authority Dr Carolyn Dean in her book The Magnesium Miracle, “it has enough extra chloride to produce hydrochloric acid in the stomach to enhance its absorption.”
Because natural hydrochloric acid production declines with age, magnesium chloride can help to stimulate gastric acid for improved nutrient assimilation and digestion. Dr Mark Sircus refers to magnesium chloride as the form which “fits the bill best as a universal medicine” because “it is easily assimilated and metabolized by the human body.”
Himalayan Magnesium Energy Concentrate contains 105mg of magnesium chloride per serving, with each bottle giving an 83-day supply.

Creating a Sacred Space in your Everyday Place: Zervana Sacred Geometry
A brand-new solution creating tranquil spaces in the home, office and therapy rooms. Zervana’s clever science based on Sacred Geometric wisdom, transforms the negative pollution of EMF, leaving you with clean, beneficial spaces in which to live, work and play. As tension is released, a renewed quality of life ensues for everyone.
We are surrounded by devices emitting startling levels of electromagnetic pollution. Wi-Fi, routers, smart meters and 5G have an adverse effect on our minds and bodies. For our bodies to recover during sleep, we need our brainwaves to hit the Delta range which occurs during the deep dream state. When this is interrupted by EMF, many people fail to reach this crucial state of relaxation, compromising cell regeneration and recovery, daily concentration and mood. However, modern life necessitates the use of electronic devices, so what are we to do?
Thankfully, our Medica Health International (MHI) team is well aware of the beneficial and detrimental differences of higher frequencies on the physical body. To counteract the onslaught of EMF pollution, our engineers have devised a clever, simple solution based on Sacred Geometry and integrating cutting-edge science, the result: Zervana Holograms. Applied on foil of master healers, gold and silver, these intricate designs create an interdimensional filter, rendering the harmful waves in the EMF field into beneficial ones.
Negative energies from powerlines and electronic devices are immediately dissolved – but how does this work?
Electromagnetic waves transport energy through empty space and are stored in the propagating electric and magnetic fields. The Zervana system creates a counter wave to the vertical detrimental wave form intercepting the toxic elements of ambient EMF that emanate from mobile devices, laptops and cell phone towers, and producing coherent, polarized field spaces.
Our MHI office is already reaping the benefits of Zervana, noticing a significant reduction in ongoing stress levels in the autonomous nervous system. Our tests demonstrate an increase in parasympathetic levels alongside decreased levels of LF. The transmutation of EMF pollution results in numerous positive changes, including ease of depression and eradicating unwanted symptoms such as headaches and eye strain. Even night-time grinding and restless sleep syndrome are positively affected by the application of Zervana in the home and office.
A whole range of Zervana holograms have been conceived and created with you in mind. We have packages for your bedroom, living room, office, therapy/treatment rooms as well as for your devices, including mobile phone, laptop, tablet and desktop computer. You can even experience the benefits of Zervana in your car!
Zervana Holograms require no maintenance. They are easy to apply and completely non-invasive. They can be painted, wall-papered, and can even survive a rinse in the dishwasher. Simply transform the quality of your environment with Zervana Holograms and keep the benefits of modern-day life.
As a British manufacturer of integrative, non-invasive equipment Medica Health International offers a wide range of solutions which fuse natural substances such as crystals, colours, metals, and sounds together with frequencies for those who choose a different approach to health and wellbeing.

Dentistry and Leaky Gut – Munro Hall Clinic
It is a relatively well-known fact nowadays that gluten consumption, as well as a candida overgrowth in the gut can damage the lining of the intestines to the point of causing a “Leaky Gut” condition. This is usually a condition that expresses a host of symptoms, which it seems, the world of mainstream medicine has caught onto this to a degree. Additionally, these symptoms can intervene with social interactions, as those who are aware they are affected can only typically take action to tackle leaky gut with a radical change to their diet, and can often no longer go to restaurants and are left with very few options if any at all on the menu.
There can be a host of different symptoms such as
- Chronic Diarrhoea and/or constipation, gas, bloating
- Nutritional deficiencies
- Poor immune system
- Headaches, brain fog, issues with memory
- Skin rashes and lesions such as eczema, rosacea
- Joint pains
All of the above are symptoms that can meaningfully disrupt someone’s day to day life and cause quite an imbalance in various aspects of their life including their ability to work.
In dentistry, an interesting pattern that we have observed is the correlation of a high number of amalgam fillings in the mouth, and patients presenting with ‘leaky gut’ in their medical history forms. We have not performed any medical studies on this, however anecdotal as it is, it has been suggested that mercury, the most toxic component within amalgam fillings, does interact with the cell membrane synthesis, which impacts on the membranes of various cell types of the body. This is principally because mercury likes to bond to sulphur (which is essential to so many biological systems of ours). Sulphur is vital to build selective membranes that protect our cells, the Sulphur/Mercury bond causes ordinarily tight membranes to become ‘leaky’, which can cause artery disease, brain dysfunction and more relevant to this article leaky gut associated symptoms.
While amalgam fillings are readily available and affordable to have in your teeth, they can have devastating effects of your overall health. Now, how bad, and how soon an adverse effect makes itself expressed is dependent on a variety of factors. These factors are generally: the individual’s susceptibility, epigenetics, dose exposure, how long the individual has been exposed for, and any concurrent burden with other heavy metals in the body to mention a few.
Once this “tap of constant toxin flow” has been eliminated through the safe removal of all amalgam fillings, you are on the road to recovery, allowing the body to heal those micro-punctured gut linings.

Altrient C, Takes Pole Position for Maximising Immune Function
Jacqueline Newson BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy
To function effectively the immune system requires balance and harmony and is strongly influenced by the nutrients we absorb from our diets. Countless studies document that vitamin C plays a pivotal role and could even be thought of as the muscle of the immune system.
Several cells of the immune system can accumulate vitamin C and need this vital vitamin to perform their task. Furthermore, a deficiency in vitamin C results in reduced resistance to certain pathogens, whilst an increased supply enhances many of our immune system functions.
Research confirms that vitamin C concentrations in the blood plasma and white blood cells decline during infections and stress. Studies also show that vitamin C enhances the production and function of leukocytes, the white blood cells that ingest and absorb pathogens or release enzymes to destroy them. Leukocytes are shown to actively accumulate vitamin C and have 50 to 100 fold higher concentrations than blood plasma. Vitamin C is also a highly effective antioxidant protecting the body against ROS (reactive oxygen species), implicated in the development of disease.
Altrient C versus Standard Vitamin C
A number of dietary and physiological factors can influence the efficiency of intestinal absorption of supplements. The state of an individual’s health at the time is a key factor in determining what the body can utilise. Absorption may also be affected by:
• Gut micro-organisms
• Food and drug interactions
• Altered intestinal integrity
• Rapid metabolism
• Low water solubility
• Excipients used
• Rate of disintegration
• Substances nutrients are chelated to i.e.: oxides and carbonates
Obstacles can be avoided by using different delivery systems to improve therapeutic efficacy. This is where liposomal Altrient C comes into its own and takes the lead over standard oral vitamin C products. Liposomes are cleverly designed phospholipid bubbles that encapsulate the vitamin C forming a protective barrier around it. This unique method of delivery ensures resistance to digestive enzymes, gastric juices, bile salts, alkaline solutions, intestinal flora and free radicals, offering outstanding protection from oxidation and degradation. Capturing vitamin C within a liposome, normally with limited absorption in the gut to be transported undamaged, directly to the cells in excess of ten times more bio-available. Liposomes increase stability and solubility enabling improved absorption.

Homoeotherapy 1; Introduction to Toxicology Workshop
November 29th 2019 - London
Homoeotherapy integrates natural and complementary practices such as homeopathy, kinesiology, acupuncture, bio resonance, reflexology and additional CAM services to enhance optimum whole-health responses. Vibrational remedies are successfully applied to aid physiological, psychological and pathological disturbances within the body which diminish a person’s vital force. Homoeotherapy counteracts elements of stress, toxicity, malnutrition and both physical and emotional injuries.
As a complete approach, Homoeotherapy observes the requirements or goals of the client and the suitable skills of the natural healthcare practitioner. A good starting point is the causal factors which give rise to impaired health or symptoms. This relevancy and the potential sources are discussed in detail during the Introduction to Toxicology workshop, with the next training happening in London on November 29th, 2019. Toxicology considers the adverse effects of chemical, physical and biological agents that can contribute to modern health decline and the onset of chronic illnesses. Modern lifestyles have encouraged many more sources of stress or toxicity in today’s world as we know it. It is a constant and growing threat to world wellness. Concerns about electromagnetic stress, pesticides, synthetic food ingredients, air pollution, over or misuse of antibiotics, chemicals found in beauty products, metal toxicity and extreme or chronic stress are just a few concerns which are subsequently looked at with integrated health clients and which can help find a basis for troublesome symptoms. Homoeotherapy uses homoeopathic principles to prevent, alleviate and manage a wide variety of recurring health symptoms. Of equal importance and consideration is the client’s nutritional and energetic environments. Natural healthcare practitioners can add or improve their skill set by recognizing how toxicity and deficiencies impacts the body’s state of balance.
The course runs from 11am until 5pm. Within the day, tutor Sally Ann Hutcheson MARH ND Cert ASK MBANT CNHC CSTA details this comprehensive approach and discusses how natural remedies can be used by CAM Providers to promote improved balance, vitality and health. Suitable for healthcare professionals only.

Feline Stomatitis: Potential Role of Mushroom Nutrition?
Feline stomatitis is a severe, painful inflammation of a cat's mouth and gums. In most cases, the condition causes ulcers to form in the mouth; these ulcers can involve the lips, tongue, gums, and back of the throat. Cats of any age or breed can be affected.
Cats with feline stomatitis often have difficulty chewing and eating. They may experience weight loss, have bad breath, drool or have oral bleeding, and may paw at their mouths. These cats may also have a scruffy coat as a result of decreased self-grooming and poor nutrition. The cause of the condition is unknown, but the mucosal inflammation is thought to be caused by either viral or bacterial factors. While antibiotics are used to address the suspected bacterial cause, once treatment ends, the condition returns. Many consider the viral component could be calicivirus (a virus that can affect a cat’s oral cavity).
Besides the use of antibiotics and steroids, there is no cure for feline stomatitis. However, mushroom nutrition may play a role in addressing the underlying cause of for virally induced feline stomatitis.
Since 2001, the Lisbon based, Professor Girao Bastos (Vet), working with Mycology Research Laboratories Ltd has been successful in the use of biomass Coriolus versicolor supplementation (Corpet) to improve the immune system of cats with either feline leukaemia (FeLV) or feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). Professor Bastos has noted that Corpet supplementation is effective against all viruses including canine parvovirus and he recommends use in all pathologies that attack the immune system.
The effect of Coriolus versicolor supplementation on viral load are supported by clinical work y conducted by Dr Silva Couto in the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Coimbra Portugal. In 2008, Dr Couto demonstrated that in early stage HPV patients (known as LSIL HPV patients) in which early stage cervical lesions are detected via a PAP smear and the HPV virus is present that Coriolus versicolor supplementation (3 g per day) could not only provoke a higher regression rate in cervical lesions (72,0%) (compared to a non-supplemented control group (47,0%)) but that after one year 91% of the subjects had no detectable HPV virus compared to 8% in a control group. Mycology Research Laboratories Ltd funded this research. See Coriolus versicolor for HPV Patients with Cervical Lesions (LSIL)1,2 published in Positive Health PH Online Issue 147 - May 2008.
It has been demonstrated that biomass Coriolus versicolor acts as an immunomodulator by providing not only beta-glucan supplementation but also the following key enzymes:

Quick Fixes For Depression. Yes, Really
- Look up! Central to the mental processes involved in depression is our ‘self-criticism – feeling bad’ loop.
- Focusing on external visual stimuli and directing your gaze upward blocks access to that depressive loop (try to ‘look up’ and ‘feel depressed’ at the same time…see what I mean?)
- Put your TV on a stand that slants your vision upward; put your photos and mementos high on the wall.
- When you’re outdoors (check your footing/the traffic first) concentrate on rooflines, treetops, clouds.
- It sounds ridiculously simple…and actually, it is.
- Tackling the self-critical inner voice. You know, that subliminal sound-track we all have, telling us how bad/pathetic/weak/useless we are…in language we would never dream of using to others!)
- (We could start by insisting that our inner voice be as courteous and respectful to us as we are to everyone else.)
The problem is that we believe this tedious inner voice…and no amount of shouting positive injunctions at the mirror seems to change that. So let’s take the controls into our own hands. You know, like we can change everything about the voices on our phones…from loud to mute, from 1x normal speed to multiples, we can even add special effects. If we are radio aficionados, we still have control….
How loud is that inner voice? If it’s loud, what happens when we turn it down? If that feels better, train your brain to turn it down the instant it begins. The same goes for any other changes…if it is a sinister whisper, change it into a squeaky parody. If it’s coming from your right, move it to the left. (Radios can also be put into other rooms!).
One I like is to speed it up…through Mickey Mouse to a thin mosquito whine (mosquitoes can be slapped) to where you can’t even hear it (maybe your dog still can). This may put a smile on your face!
Bandler suggests changing it to a loving tone…the way someone who loves you would say your name. If you can do this, the meaning is completely altered…or the words actually change.
When you find the change that makes you laugh, or makes you feel the love (that is often behind our parents’ criticisms) train your brain to make that change…immediately and every time. It will clear your mental space for happier thoughts….
Thoughts going ‘round and round’? Show me the gesture that goes with that…is your finger drawing a circle? Carefully notice which way round your finger is going. When you’re sure, then draw the circle the other way. Confusing…like a right-handed person trying to write with the left. When you can do it, you’ll notice the confusion includes the painful thought-pattern breaking up completely. You would have given anything to be able to stop those thoughts…now you can.
A Beginner’s Guide to Lifting Depression includes these strategies, and much more about ways you can tackle depression.

Iodine Sufficiency Proven for Adults and Children
Half the population and 76% of girls in the UK lack dietary iodine;[1] 80% of women are deficient in pregnancy, associated with congenital abnormalities and low intelligence in their offspring.[2] WHO regards iodine insufficiency as the greatest preventable cause of brain damage. More broadly, iodine contributes to normal thyroid, nervous system and cognitive function, energy-yielding metabolism, and normal skin. Seaweed is the richest source of bioavailable iodine, yet one of the least available minerals in our agricultural soils. Unlike other food sources - eggs, dairy, meat and fish - it is vegetable, with a comprehensive nutritional profile.
Seagreens® contain all the co-factors needed for the proper transport and metabolism of iodine, hence its Iodine+ Capsules (www.seagreens.co.uk/iodineplus ) which have 10 years’ safe use among practitioners, providing at least the 250 micrograms per day (µg/day) recommended during pregnancy and lactation, within a safe WHO upper limit of 17µg/kg body weight or 1000µg/day.[2] Many iodine supplements including liquid solutions, contain manufactured potassium iodide. Seagreens® has conducted independent comparative research on iodine and the thyroid, published in the British Journal of Nutrition. Iodine+ achieved sufficiency in iodine deficient women with no adverse effect on the thyroid, normalisation of TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), and more stable and prolonged iodine uptake at about 33% of total content, than potassium iodide.[3]
Seagreens® Iodine Lite+ is a new blend for children in a 3 month jar, or adults to ‘top up’ a diet not always iodine sufficient, containing 150µg iodine in a well-documented balance of all the other nutrients.
Using either product, consumers “would not exceed the recommended daily intake even if consumed by those with sufficient iodine” explains researcher Emily Combet, because the soluble iodine can be ‘unbound’ from protein ions if receptors are available, or excreted. Associated research shows Seagreens® an effective prebiotic,[4] which accounts for the prolonged absorption of its iodine. The vegetable capsules contain no flowing agents or other excipients, and slide open. The content can thus be added to a juice or smoothie. Seagreens award-winning research, the total composition of its seaweeds, and typical iodine levels in native species, plus a free booklet are available from info@seagreens.co.uk .

The Vital Shoulder Complex: An Illustrated Guide to Assessment, Treatment, and Rehabilitation Paperback
by John Gibbons
Published by Lotus Publishing. North Atlantic Books. 2019. Paperback. £23.79. $22.62. ISBN 1623174171.
A comprehensive guide to understanding the complexities of the shoulder and treating shoulder injury and pain
The shoulder joint is actually called the glenohumeral joint (gleno – glenoid – is the socket and humeral is the humerus – the long bone of the upper arm). This particular area might well be the main source of shoulder pain for patients visiting the doctor or the physical therapist. However, there are numerous other joints of the shoulder region as well as other associated structures that can also be the source (causative factor) for the presenting symptoms for shoulder pain – hence the term shoulder complex.
The area of the body we commonly refer to as "the shoulder" is in fact a complex of interconnected systems – bones, tendons, muscle, and joints that together work to move our arms, hands, and fingers. Because the shoulder must trade stability for mobility, it is also one of the weakest joints of the body, which explains why it is one of the most common areas of physical pain; injury located in the shoulder can affect areas throughout the entire body. The Vital Shoulder Complex is designed for anyone interested in understanding, treating, and healing shoulder-related pain. Author and renowned bodyworker John Gibbons explains and illustrates the dynamics of the shoulder complex in ways that are accessible and enlightening. The theory and principles described in this book can assist physical therapists in formulating effective treatment protocols towards quick rehabilitation for their patients. These include:
- Differential diagnosis of shoulder pathology;
- The relationship of the pelvis, the SI joint, and the gluteals to the shoulder complex;
- Pathologies of the shoulder and cervical spine;
- Special tests associated with the shoulder complex;
- Rehabilitation and exercise protocols for the shoulder complex.
