Peace – We All Want It – Peace Gifts Shops
Peace, we all want it. On an individual level and on a global scale. Looking back on my life, it’s clear that my best decisions were made when I was calm and relaxed. Creativity and prosperity thrive in society when the society is at peace and individuals feel secure enough to invest time and energy into creating new ventures.
In 1755 Adam Smith, the father of modern economics, said in a lecture that “Little else is requisite to carry a state to the highest degree of opulence from the lowest level of barbarism, but peace easy taxes, and a tolerable administration of justice”.
https://oll.libertyfund.org/quotes/436
It’s so easy to hear the news and blame the lack of peace in the world on others but what are we all doing to make this planet a better home for all its occupants? The Abrahamic Reunion provides education, inspiration and action to promote inter-religious harmony in our multi-faith society. This involves creating events so that people of different religions can come together and appreciate that ultimately we all have the same ideals and wish to live in peace. The Abrahamic Reunion does this by creating events for people to pray for peace together, eat together and enable their children to play together.
“To counter our biases, we need to have meaningful contact with other groups”. Professor, Jennifer Eberhardt. UK Sunday Times March 31st 2019
However, like so much else in this world, funds are required.
Peace Gifts Shop was established to raise funds for the Abrahamic Reunion. The selection of apparel available provides either an image to remind us of peace or a quote to remind us how we can become more peaceful.
If we are fortunate to live in a relatively peaceful society the most pressing issue for many of us is climate change and global warming. What has this got to do with peace? Everything. Eckhart Tolle says that “It is inner stillness that will save the world”. He teaches that happiness is dependent on outside circumstances but inner peace is not. If we can obtain more inner peace we will not feel the need to purchase the latest fashion goods or fastest cars and then discard them when they become outdated; as a result we will consume far less of the world’s resources.
By buying a gift from Peace Gifts Shop you are providing a permanent reminder, rather like an affirmation, to stay calm. You are also donating towards the Abrahamic Reunion a not for profit charity which works towards promoting harmony between religious groups.
Many of the world’s spiritual teachers remind us of the power of our minds; Peace Gifts Shop provides gifts to keep our minds on track thinking calmly, positively and creatively.

NCD Activated Zeolite - Powerful Detox Product from Energy for Health
NCD Activated Zeolite by Waiora is a powerful and 100% natural detoxifier formulated from purified, activated zeolite. One of the few negatively charged minerals in nature, zeolite is formed from the fusion of volcanic lava and ocean water. Its unique crystalline structure acts at the cellular level like a cage. Zeolite draws in toxins like a magnet, trapping them in its cage-like molecular structure, before eliminating them from the body within 5-7 hours.
https://energyforhealth.co.uk/products/ncd-liquid-zeolite-1
Zeolite's unique ability to remove dangerous toxins is well documented. What distinguishes Waiora’s NCD from other zeolite products is the multi-stage activation process that micronizes the particles to below 5 microns and completely cleanses the cages, thus removing all contaminants and maximizing the surface area to which toxins can bind.
- Extremely safe and easy to take: Zeolite has been used for 800 years throughout Asia as a traditional remedy to promote overall health and well-being. Zeolite is included on the US Food and Drug Administration's GRAS list (“generally recognized as safe”).
Most serious detox solutions are difficult to take, taste unpleasant, and can leave a person feeling drained because they indiscriminately remove healthy metal ions as well. Many chelation products are known to involve the risk of attracting toxins but then dumping them elsewhere in the body before excretion. In contrast, NCD is a tasteless liquid which only removes unhealthy ions. - Removes heavy metals and harmful chemicals: NCD captures and removes heavy metals from the body, including mercury, cadmium, lead, arsenic, aluminum, tin and excess iron. It also removes radioactive metals like cesium and Strontium-90.
Although NCD does not remove pesticides, herbicides and dioxins directly due to their negative or neutral charge, NCD reduces the toxic load to the liver, so liver-induced glucoronidation, the main means of removing these toxins, is increased. As these chemicals can trigger cancer and disrupting hormone balances, even at low levels, it is crucial that they are removed from the body rapidly. - Helps the body to maintain healthy levels of body pH, blood sugar and immune system function: A slightly alkaline body pH (7.35-7.45) is essential for optimal health and immune function. NCD attracts and then buffers excess protons which cause acidity; this helps to deal with many conditions that thrive in an acid environment such as Candida, acid reflux and arthritis. NCD can also buffer excess glucose by its negative charge, thus helping to reduce blood sugar spikes.
While NCD does not stimulate the immune system, it allows it to function optimally by removing toxins, viruses, yeasts, bacteria and fungi which can depress immune function and interfere with hormones. NCD also captures nitrosamines - commonly found in processed meats and linked to pancreatic, stomach and colon cancer.
Note
NCD Liquid zeolite is not a medicine, and is not intended for the treatment/prevention of disease. If you are unwell or taking medication, we recommend you seek the advice of a qualified healthcare practitioner before starting a liquid zeolite programme.

Symbolic Colours – Their Significance in Antiquity, The Middle Ages and Modern Times
by Baron Frederic de Portal, Forward & Notes by Allan Armstrong
Published by Imagier Publishing. 2019. Hardback. £19.99. ISBN: 9781910216316.
First published in English in 1845 as a limited edition of 100 copies.
There has been no English edition published since.
Within this intriguing book the author demonstrates a profound familiarity with the esoteric teachings discreetly transmitted from generation to generation in the schools of initiation that have existed in one form or another throughout the history of civilisation. It is clear that he is concerned neither with the scientific application nor with the philosophical understanding of colour, rather, his primary concern is with the symbolism of colour employed by the learned of previous generations; about which he is evidently as well or better informed than any of his era.
Although the world today recognizes that the spectrum of light available to the human eye provides us with a vast range of colours, in the ancient world it was generally accepted that the spectrum consisted of seven colours only, and although artists and other specialists knew of a wider range, convention still maintained the tradition of seven basic colours from which all other colours were derived. Colour was then, as it is now, not only a fundamental part of everyday existence, but also fully integrated into the various cosmologies of the many significant religions and cults of the ancient world. As diverse as the many belief systems of the ancient world undoubtedly were, they generally thought of the structure of the cosmos as consisting of a spiritual heaven and a material earth, between which lay a succession of worlds, each represented by one of the seven planets and ruled by a deity and/or a hierarchy of ‘spiritual’ beings. Each planet was also thought to correspond, among other things, with a colour; with the primary sounds we call vowels, and with the seven notes of the musical scale – a veritable compendium of correspondences, many being as relevant in esoteric circles today as they were then.
Of particular significance in this context were the teachings of Pythagoras, who flourished in the sixth century BC. To him sound, colour and form were all expressions of one divine essence recognisable in number, in geometry, in the division of the octave and in the spectrum of colour: analogues of the one all-embracing harmony that is divine providence. Pythagoras’ efforts were very influential in many of the philosophic and esoteric circles that succeeded him, most notably in the Athenian Academy established by Plato at the beginning of the fourth century BC. Plato’s teachings were heavily influenced by Pythagoras, as were those of his student, Aristotle, who built upon the teachings of Pythagoras and Plato and gave to the world a clear conception of an integrated world when he introduced his model of a geocentric cosmos. . . .

Bringing Skin Alive with TheCream Natural Skin Care
Based on the restorative power of natural colostrum TheCream range fuses a fundamental product of nature with the science of quantum physics.
Colostrum is the most powerful, cell-building and complete all-natural ingredient known to man. New Zealand dairy colostrum forms the base of all the creams in the range and selected products also contain three natural, revolutionary active ingredients:
- Defensil Plus®: A natural botanical blend of blackcurrant, balloon vine and sunflower oil concentrates. This powerful new active ingredient helps to reduce redness and replenishes, regenerates, protects and soothes skin;
- DermCom®: Extract from the crocus chrysanthus bulb. This enables cell communication between the epidermis and dermis, which in turn rejuvenates skin. DermCom® also reduces wrinkle size and depth by encouraging the formation of elastin and stimulating collagen by 115% within two weeks;
- L22®: A patented formula of botanically sourced lipids (Jojoba, Macadamia and Olive essential oils). L22® was specifically developed to deliver the skin lipid profile of healthy 22 year old skin.
All products are also Bio-Available, which is the extent to which active ingredients can be recognised and used by the body. There is no point using expensive ingredients if the body rejects them. Many devotees of the range say they can feel the ‘energy’ in the products even before they are applied to the skin and when they are, many cannot believe the difference they make in a short space of time.
All formulations are waterless, which means they are in their most effective and concentrated form, and they are also clinically tested and EU cosmetics safety approved. More and more people are keen to seek out natural remedies to treat skin, hair and body as awareness grows of the detrimental effects harsh chemicals can pose to health. As TheCream products are 100% natural, free from all chemicals, heavy metals and mineral oils they fit the bill perfectly.

Carole Preen Natural Therapeutics – CPD and Diploma Courses with Blended Learning
Natural Therapeutics (NT) was set up in 2015 by Carole Preen who has been teaching complementary therapies since 1997. The idea was to create blended learning courses for therapies as well as some dedicated quality online CPD courses for therapists who find it difficult to travel to attend workshops, plus courses for general interest. There are a great many of courses out there that you can do online, but most do not give you access to a personal tutor who marks your typed coursework with individualised developmental feedback.
Carole was originally instrumental in the development of the UK aromatherapy standards and has taught aromatherapy for many years at diploma level. With so many people now wanting to learn about essential oils but not learn massage, which is a major component of aromatherapy training, Carole set up the first Essential Oil Practitioner Diploma. This online course is exactly the same as the UK aromatherapy course minus the massage elements. As with all the courses at Natural Therapeutics, they are accredited by Complementary Health Professionals - one of the UK's most established professional associations, which you can join for free whilst studying on any of NT diploma courses. There is an excellent in-depth level 4 Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology online course for anyone who needs to study this subject that underpins every complementary therapy. The other diploma courses are offered by blended learning, which means you do the theory online but need to attend classes for the practical bodywork training. These are Neuroskeletal Re-alignment Therapy and Crystal Healing Therapy.
As well as the diploma courses, the CPD courses that have been developed are relevant, useful and allow you to add a component to your therapy practice with confidence via completion of assessed coursework. It was important to listen to the needs of therapists and respond with convenient and progressive options. The courses on offer include a Stress Management Certificate, Advanced Communication Skills for Complementary Therapists, Chinese Medicine Diagnosis and Acupressure, Complementary Therapies in the Care of the Elderly, plus others that are in development.
Other courses that can either be used for CPD or for anyone with a general interest include Dowsing for Health; An Introduction to the Chakra and Energy Systems and Introduction to Meditation. A great number of new courses are in development based on popular demand and these will be launched in 2020. There is a free Wellbeing course you can request, which gives you a taste of the quality of the courses on offer.

Injury-Free Running - How to Build Strength, Improve Form, and Treat/Prevent Injuries
by Thomas Michaud
Published by Lotus Publishing. 2014; Distribution 2019. Paperback. £14.99 / $15.69. ISBN 1467589314.
A no-nonsense guide to help readers effectively treat and prevent injuries.
We were not born to run. If we were, injury rates among runners wouldn't be so high. Of the 12 million runners in the United States, the annual injury rate is close to 50%. This translates into nearly 2 million stress fractures and 4 million sprains/strains. To run injury-free for decades, you have to be strong, coordinated and most of all, well informed.
While various experts will give you advice based on anecdotal information (e.g. wear minimalist shoes, strike on your mid-foot, and never stretch), after looking at the:
- Evolution of running
- Biomechanics of walking and running, and
- Perfect gaits for endurance running, sprinting and injury prevention, this book reviews the scientific literature to show you how to:
- Develop a running form based on your alignment, prior injuries, and desired running speed.
- Design a personalized rehab program you can do at home by evaluating your arch height, flexibility, strength, and coordination.
- Choose a running shoe that is right for you.
- Select the best pre-exercise warm-up routine.
- Treat 25 of the most common running-related injuries with the most up-to-date, scientifically justified treatment protocols available.
The only book you will need to help you run injury-free for life.
Since graduating from Western States Chiropractic College in 1982, Dr Michaud has published numerous book chapters and dozens of journal articles on subjects ranging from the treatment of tibial stress fractures in runners to the conservative management of shoulder injuries in baseball players.
In addition to lecturing on clinical biomechanics internationally, Dr Michaud has served on the editorial review boards for Chiropractic Sports Medicine and The Australasian Journal of Podiatric Medicine.

i-Women Health 2020 – International Women Health and Breast Cancer Conference
Following the success of the International Women Health and Breast Cancer Conference (i-Women Health, 2019), we are pleased to host you at the second edition i.e. 2nd International Women Health and Breast Cancer Conference, scheduled to be held in London, UK during August 13-14, 2020. We welcome you to share your research findings and network with a wide audience in the broad field of women's health to share latest developments and research that will enable the best outcomes for women patients.
i-Women Health's emphasis is on the dissemination of lifelong translational research and evidence-based strategies for women's disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment. This program provides comprehensive discussions for two days in the field of breast cancer, menopause, pregnancy, prenatal and neonatal care, reproduction, infertility, hormonal replacement therapy, maternal health, PCOS, Osteoporosis and more.
Due to specific genetic, social and psychological circumstances, women have distinctive health problems. And while some health issues impact men and women alike, they may have different effects on women. At the two ends of life, women are often more insecure. Young women are at risk of STIs, teenage pregnancy, infertility, and unsafe abortion, and older women are at risk of diabetes, anxiety, osteoporosis, hypertension, and menopause. Knowing that menopause is a natural progression and that a drop-in hormone level is not an end to women's or femininity will help them accept menopause happily. Cancer is another health concern that has a major impact on women. One of the most common type of cancer that affects women globally is breast cancer and cervical cancer. Timely detection of these cancers is critical to keeping women alive and healthy.
It is imperative that each female has access to information relevant not only to her reproductive health but to all aspects of her body in order to achieve health equality throughout the lifetime.
The 2-day course is targeted at obstetricians, gynaecologists, midwives, general practitioners and other women's health providers, politicians and decision-makers, consumer groups, business professionals, distributors and healthcare industry leaders who plan to expand their company through various franchise and distribution channels. I-Women Health 2020 will provide the participating organizations with the opportunity to showcase their products and services to visitors from the healthcare industry worldwide.

A Night of Passion…Flower
If you want a good night’s sleep, you might be best forgetting about a night of passion and instead sit down for a cup of passion flower tea.
Scientists carried out research[1] into the effects of drinking passion flower tea, in 41 people, in a double-blind placebo controlled trial. For a week, participants drank either a passionflower tea or a placebo tea, before having a ‘washout period’ (a week where they drank neither the herbal tea nor the placebo tea) for a week and then swapping teas - not knowing which tea they were having when. All participants filled out a sleep diary and it was found that sleep quality showed a significantly better rating when people where drinking the passion flower tea, compared to the placebo, with the researchers concluding…
“These initial findings suggest that the consumption of a low dose of Passiflora incarnate (passion flower), in the form of tea, yields short-term subjective sleep benefits for healthy adults with mild fluctuations in sleep quality.”
Single Ingredient Passion Flower Tea
One of the only single ingredient passion flower teas available in the UK comes courtesy of herbal tea specialists Natur Boutique. A tasty tea, that’s perfect to sit back and relax with before bedtime.
Note
Do not use if pregnant or breast feeding. Not suitable for children. Passion flower may have a sedative effect, therefore do not take if operating machinery or vehicles or taking sedatives. Stop taking immediately if you experience any adverse effects and speak immediately to a doctor. Consult a doctor if using before surgery.

The Truth About Love and Fear: Love Controls Our Lives, Fear Determines How We Will Live It
by Rudolf Eckhardt
Published by BalboaPressAU. 2018. Paperback. £24.95 / $28.99. ISBN: 978-1-5043-1011-6
“My goal for this book is to help everyone find the unique, authentic and spontaneous self they were born to be, by releasing their fear-based, limiting self-beliefs, and thereby give expression to the full potential of who they are meant to be,” said Eckhardt.
Author Rudolf Eckhardt presents new, radical, spiritually focused and unconventional ideas that have found a realistic application in life in his new book. The information and ideas featured in the book are all based on Eckhardt’s 28 years of experience and proven results with his patients through his Core Belief Therapy.
The Truth About Love and Fear details Eckhardt’s idea that one needs to change who they are to permanently change one’s life. Instead of just changing what we do, we need to change who we are because the relationship we have with ourselves is that one we have with everyone else. By making this mental transition, we create the opportunity to live the way we ultimately want. Readers will learn how they can live their life without their issues and insecurities by recognizing that fear is the driving force behind everyone’s negative life and relationship experiences.
Eckhardt reveals how fear sabotages our ability to be the authentic self, we were born to be, and how it prevents us from fulfilling our human potential as a consciousness, a human being, a partner and a parent. He also explains how unconditional love, acceptance and trust are the essence of our spirit-consciousness, which provides a positive directive on how to live true to our unique nature. Even though unconditional love can never be extinguished as the central force of our consciousness, fear will always seek to dominate our senses and demand we respond to its call.
Love and fear are the most fundamental emotions in life that underpin every aspect of our lives and relationships and yet they are the least understood. The Truth About Love and Fear explains how fear is a consistent part of our issues and insecurities and how it takes control over our perception, thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Eckhardt gives step by step explanations, life and relationship examples so that you can gain the clarity and the practical tools you need to take fear out of your life.
About the Author
In 1992, Rudolf Eckhardt independently developed the Core Belief Therapy. His philosophy of how humans create their own experience of life and relationships rises out of more than 28 years of work as a therapist with many different nationalities in Australia and other parts of the world. Eckhardt has lived in Australia since 1963 after migrating with his family from the Netherlands. He currently lives in Bondi, NSW where he continues his work as a therapist using Core Belief Therapy and is in the process of writing six additional books including his next one, The Truth About Relationships about dealing with relationship issues of women and men.

Sunderland’s Small Change Finds big Impact in Occupational Therapy
A multi-million pound investment in Occupational Therapy at the University of Sunderland will create an army of professionals dedicated to supporting service users with interventions that improve their daily lives. The University now delivers a full cycle of health programmes from paramedic training and nursing to pharmacy, physiotherapy and medicine - and the new Occupational Therapy (OT) degree, which has just had its first intake of students, further complements Sunderland’s health and social care offer.
Vice Chancellor Sir David Bell taking part in an Occupational Therapy session
The investment in the course includes a fully functional independent living environment, a multi-media workshop and a suite of rehabilitation laboratories, the programme has also been approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is accredited by the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT). To mark the programme launch, the University supported National Occupational Therapy Week (Nov 4-10) which focussed on the theme: Small Change, Big Impact. The theme celebrates and champions the impact of OT on the lives of service users and the communities they live in.
“By supporting this national event, Sunderland is demonstrating that its small change was to introduce the new OT programme and the big impact of this will be the positive effect on our wider community,” explained Cath Turner, Senior Lecturer in OT at Sunderland.
She added: “This is an exciting and varied career and there is now a huge demand for an OT’s diverse range of skills as we look towards new approaches to better manage patients’ health and target innovative interventions.
“It’s about reducing hospital admissions, putting in place preventative measures though positive health promotion and our role is to keep people as independent as possible. We use interventions as a means to do that.”
Occupational therapy helps patients recover or develop skills needed for the activities of daily living, including self-care, leisure, independent living and work. Therapists work in a range of settings including hospitals, schools, nursing homes and with patients in their own homes. Patients who benefit from occupational therapy, include people who have had strokes, people with autism and other developmental disorders, people recovering from certain surgeries, people who experience from depression or anxiety, as well as veterans and the elderly.
Vice Chancellor Sir David Bell took a tour of the new facilities and met the students who will be the next generation of OTs.
He said: “Occupational therapy is a vitally important area of work, providing support and assistance to people right across our communities.
“At the University of Sunderland, we are delighted to be training the next generation of occupational therapists in superb new facilities. As a result, our graduates will go on to make a vital contribution to the health of the city and the region.”

The Way to Self-development
by George Kiourtzidis
Published by Troubador Publishing. 2019. Paperback. £8.60 ISBN 1789014999.
The Way to Self-Development is the result of the life events of the author George Kiourtzidis, combined with the work of his great uncle and renowned 20th century philosopher, G.I. Gurdjieff. The book distils several millennia of religious and mythic teaching into an accessible and practical guide to life. It is for everyone and anyone, regardless of their background, culture or upbringing.
The book begins with a practical explanation of key concepts inspired by the teachings of G.I. Gurdjieff. What is the Law of Three? How do we distinguish our real selves from false personality? What are the Three Centres? How is breathing connected to our conscience? Kiourtzidis explains all this, in his unique, plain-spoken style. He then provides a method for getting in touch with our conscience and leading a fulfilled life of compassion and freedom.
With this foundation in place, the author gives an esoteric explanation of selected parables and sayings from the New Testament Gospels, as well as a number of myths and legends from Greek, Eastern and other traditions. In explaining the hidden meanings of these ancient sources, Kiourtzidis once again draws upon the work of his great uncle, as well as hard-won truths from his own life.
In the final part, the author gives a brief account of his own life, focussing on the circumstances in which he discovered the way to self-development. The book ends with some practical notes for the reader on how to apply the Method and esoteric Christian ideas to his or her daily life, from doing chores and earning a living to dealing with others and facing unpleasant events.
