Small groups help to facilitate this experience. Turning Point teachers are enthusiastic and experienced practising therapists who keep their knowledge up to date. The philosophy of Turning Point encompasses the idea that medicine is an art informed by science. We believe that the conventional materialist paradigm is very much out of date and that scientific knowledge has now reached a point where much of holistic medicine can incorporated into a new paradigm. Turning Point courses introduce the concepts of research and encourage students to critically evaluate current information.
Craniosacral Therapy is based on the relationship between the structure and function of the body and the expression of health. Specific, gentle and skilled manipulation can help to restore the structure-function relationship supporting the patients’ own homeostatic mechanisms. This non-invasive and safe therapy can be used on patients of all ages from the new-born to the elderly.
The Practitioner Course consists of 8 modules over 5 weekends and 20 hours Zoom support days. In addition, students must complete a portfolio of case studies and complete an exam. Practical skills are assessed during the course. This course is recognized by the CMA. Course dates for 2025 to be announced. This course is led by Jonathan Lawrence.
Homotoxicology is based on the idea that disease results from toxic load. In modern life we are subject to toxins from a variety of sources. This has the effect of stressing the immune system leading to ill health. Accurate prescribing can help the body gently detoxify aiding the restoration of homeostasis.
The remedies used are single potency homeopathic remedies or combinations of remedies to achieve a specific physiological response.
The Online Diploma in Homotoxicology is via the Society of Homotoxicology, UK. Contact us for access to this course.
Electro Acupuncture According to Voll (EAV) is a postgraduate course. This method involves electro-acupuncture assessment of acupuncture meridians to find imbalances in the body. The 12 traditional Chinese meridians are tested plus the addition 9 Voll Meridians discovered by Dr Reinhard Voll. Training is via small tutorial groups led by Rosemary Lawrence. Supercoherence “I Am Radical Forgiveness” Frequency
Forgiveness is perhaps one of the most important states for us to align with, embrace and embody at this time in humanity’s evolution.
However, as a process, and as a state of being, forgiveness is complex, multi-layered, multifaceted, and even multidimensional. In fact, whole tomes have been written about it!
In the Supercoherence System, we recognise the needs of 2 very different aspects of the Self – namely the altruistic desires of the “higher” centres, and the very real hurts, disempowerment and suffering of the “lower” centres- to be acknowledged, honoured and reconciled, so that we can function as one congruent, coherent whole.
However, to achieve this level of alignment between the different aspects of our selves is no mean feat!
The invitation and gift of the SRdFF is to enable a greater alignment with this affirmation:
“I ask forgiveness from all those against whom I have trespassed.
I forgive all those who have trespassed against me, or hurt or harmed me- including myself.
In the end, I recognise that there is nothing to forgive.”
This affirmation brings together the different aspects of Self, and their relationship to forgiveness i.e. the need to forgive and be forgiven, AND the recognition that there is nothing to forgive! Although so different to each other, they are equally important, and ALL need to be embraced and reconciled for true forgiveness to take place.
We need to be really clear though, that when we forgive, it is not about condoning, colluding with, or denying harmful or detrimental (non)actions. It is more about freeing ourselves up from holding on to- or being held in the grip of- a “reality” that is harmful to ourselves- keeping us in a place of anger, hatred, vengeance, or guilt or shame.
It also doesn’t mean that one has to embrace the other person, or forget the harmful actions that have been committed. And of course, if one is in a harmful situation, then it is imperative- first and foremost- to remove oneself to a place of safety as soon as possible.
Forgiveness IS about a disentanglement from the other person’s field- with a degree of clarity and discernment, and without judgment.
In addressing all the different aspects of forgiveness, the SRdFF enables us to let go of our hurts, heal our wounds, and come to a place of lightness, peace, acceptance, empowerment and freedom.

Crucible Books – A Theurgic Life
by Allan Armstrong
Published by Crucible Books. 2023. Hardback. £25.00, post-free in UK
An Introduction to Theurgy
The author demonstrates in this book that far from being a discipline frequently associated with magic, and the elevation of Self, it is a means by which the soul is able to achieve union with the Divine aspect of life that is ever-present within Creation. He sums up the work of Theurgy in the following words:
“Let us never forget that the theurgic life is not simply a life of never-ending rituals, but a life of service to God, Self, Humanity, Nature, and all living things that follow the path of becoming.”

A Beginner’s Guide to ME/CFS – Especially for Long Covid Sufferers
A public health crisis continues to overwhelm. A public health crisis which threatens economies throughout the world. Long Covid has forced thousands of workers to withdraw from economic activity, as they became unable to continue in their jobs. This is a double blow to the economy, as they are forced to become recipients of assistance from public or private insurance against long-term disability.
While researchers have engaged in frantic efforts to more fully understand this complex disorder, the most striking aspect of Long Covid is its similarity to ME/CFS. The US IOM report on ME/CFS concluded that the defining feature of this illness is that ‘exertion of any kind – physical, cognitive or emotional – may adversely affect many organ systems…’. [1]
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Beginners-Guide-ME-CFS-Guides/dp/0957181744
The Toxicity of Exertion
The NICE Guidelines for treatment of people with ME/CFS have finally acknowledged that GET is harmful, and CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) is not curative.[2] However, those who supported the view that ME/CFS, and now Long Covid, are simply problems of false beliefs and deconditioning have been fighting hard against the revised Guidelines for ME/CFS, and seem to have influenced some providers of NHS Long Covid rehabilitation programs, which offer psychological support, and exercise programs based in local gyms, which reportedly encourage patients to ‘push through’.It is not clear whether these services follow WHO advice that patients who have post-exertional malaise (PEM) – worsening of symptoms following exertion – must avoid exercise. [3]
Any programme which runs without regard for the dangers of exercise, and the importance of rest would risk driving Long Covid sufferers into more severe disability, as has been the fate of so many ME/CFS patients enduring programs of GET. It is urgent that patients, especially new patients, get correct information. It may also help them avoid the understandable, but exhausting search for the doctor/the treatment which will cure them. This doctor/treatment does not yet exist.
All we have, up to now, is the power of our own immune system.
Rest is Treatment
Consider this: your body is dealing with a complex, unfamiliar virus. Our immune system has many ways to counteract this situation, but it needs all your energy to tackle this. It needs your energy, and it needs time. Full recoveries from ME/CFS occurred when patients were prescribed six months of rest. [4]
Exertion is Toxic – Rest is Treatment
This is the central message of A Beginner’s Guide to ME/CFS, but there is another.
In both ME/CFS and Long Covid, oxygen-deprivation due to blockages in the microcirculation can provide an explanation for all the apparently unrelated symptoms. In Long Covid, this is caused by microclots interfering with blood flow in the capillaries. In ME/CFS, hemorheologist Les Simpson found the blood flow problems were caused by non-deformable red blood cells. His recommendations for easily available supplements which helped many patients appear likely to be worth trying for patients with Long Covid. [5]
Two good reasons why this little book is a worthwhile purchase for you, or for anyone you know who is suffering from Long Covid.

‘You might experience worsening of fatigue and other symptoms (described as “crashing” or “relapse”) after minimal exertion. This is described in scientific terms as “post-exertional malaise”, or PEM for short. The worsening typically is felt hours or days after physical or mental exertion. Recovery normally takes 24 hours or longer and can affect your energy levels, concentration, sleep and memory, and cause muscle/joint pains and flu-like symptoms.
‘If you experience PEM, you need to avoid exercise and activities that cause PEM and aim to conserve your energy.’

Announcing the first Smart Kids Conference on April 24th
The charity, Food the Brain, is hosting the first Smart Kids Conference. Taking place on 24th April 2025, the theme of the conference is ‘Neurodivergence – don’t just normalise it. Optimise it.’ Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders, all classifying children as ‘neurodivergent’, have rocketed in both the UK and USA. In the UK one in seven children are classified as neurodivergent [1] and one in seven are in need of special education.[2] In the US one in 36 are classified as autistic[3] – a fourfold increase in 20 years. In the UK one in 62 are classified as autistic and numbers have increased 8-fold in 20 years.[4] This cannot all be explained away by genetics or better diagnosis. On April 24th a multi-disciplinary team of global experts is coming together for a virtual conference in London to explore what optimum nutrition and lifestyle is needed for smart, happy, healthy children and teens and what is driving this escalation of cognitive and behavioural problems.
https://foodforthebrain.org/smartkids/
The conference starts at the beginning – in pregnancy. Professor Michelle Murphy from the University of Madrid has found that low levels of B vitamins in the first trimester of pregnancy, measured with a homocysteine blood test, predicts more problems, specifically withdrawn behaviour, anxiety/depression, social problems and aggressive behaviour in the child at age six.[5] Folate is one of these vital B vitamins; nine in ten obese women in the EU fail to achieve basic guidelines for folic acid supplementation to prevent neurodevelopmental problems. [6]
At the Chelsea and Westminster campus of Imperial College London, Professor Michael Crawford’s team at the Institute of Brain Chemistry and Human Nutrition, has identified which mothers are likely to have neurodevelopmentally impaired infants based on their blood level of fats, with omega-3 DHA, found in oily fish, being a critical brain-building nutrient. Professor Crawford will be sharing his findings at the conference and talking on the important of marine food in the maternal diet.
Director of New Zealand’s Mental Health and Nutrition Research Lab at the University of Canterbury, Professor Julia Rucklidge will be presenting evidence for the essential role of multivitamins and minerals during pregnancy and their effects on children’s mental health.
This kind of research is also helping to identify what the optimal intake of nutrients is to optimise children’s potential. Dr Alex Richardson from Oxford University is presenting her evidence for helping children with ADHD type symptoms, and paediatric endocrinologist Professor Robert Lustig from the University of California San Francisco is sharing his pioneering research showing the dangers of high fructose diets. “Teenagers with blood sugar problems are showing early signs of the same kind of cognitive decline and shrinkage of the hippocampus[7] that are seen in Alzheimer’s.” The youngest non-genetic Alzheimer’s diagnosis is age 19.[8]
Two clinicians, assistant professor Dr Chris D’Adamo from the University of Maryland in the US and Dr Lorene Amet from France, will be presenting cases of children diagnosed with autism who are no longer diagnosable as such, and discussing nutritional and other interventions that are helping autistic children lessen troubling symptoms. “We have over 200 cases of autistic children who have benefitted. The majority have shown significant improvements, but not all respond.” Says Dr Amet.
Dr Tommy Wood, Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Neuroscience at the University of Washington, will address the role of an active lifestyle. This is supported by a presentation on the dangers of early smartphone use by Dr Jonathan Haidt, author the New York Times best-seller The Anxious Generation. “The changes in diet, less active lifestyles and early smart phone use has created a perfect storm for a child’s healthy brain development. These are issues we have to address urgently for the sake of our children”, says Dr Tommy Wood who heads research at the foodforthebrain.org, the charity hosting the conference.
The conference is opened by Dr Rona Tutt OBE, Past President of the National Association of Head Teachers, an expert in special needs. “People come in assorted shapes and sizes with brains that are unique. A significant minority who are neurodivergent, need to be recognized, valued and supported, so they can maximise their strengths and overcome their challenges. We need to understand what is driving this increase in neurodivergence and how best to support and optimise a child’s potential,” she says.
The conference, tailored for nutritionists, doctors, teachers and health professionals, is also open to interested parents but will be followed by a public webinar to help guide parents on how to best nourish their children’s optimal development. The conference coincides with the launch of COGNITION for Smart Kids & Teens, which offers a free online assessment to all parents and teenagers as part of a global research project to learn how to optimise children’s intellectual and emotional development.
Food for the Brain is a registered charity dedicated to brain health, with a mission to create a future where the importance of nutrition in optimising mental well-being and brain health, as a means of both prevention and treatment, is understood by all and implemented by many. The Food for the Brain Foundation aims to educate and provide important information to all throughout their lives, thereby promoting mental wellbeing and brain health through optimum nutrition. i.e. children, parents, teachers, schools, universities, the public, health professionals, workplace wellbeing teams, food service operators, caterers and the government.
