Dr Glennis Rogerson PhD, ND, HD, HMD, MA, AADP, AANC, Diplomas in Reflexology, Counselling, Healing, Aromatherapy and Herbal Medicine also CertEd (also qualified in Law and Accountancy). Glennis practises aromatherapy, tai chi, reflexology, counselling and nutrition and advizes on diets at Skegness, Lincolnshire. She is disabled and only treats the elderly, deaf and disabled, for a small amount of money. Glennis is willing to give lectures or workshops on any subject she is qualified in. She has recently finished writing a course on Chinese Medical Theory, of which this article is a small part. The whole course, by distance learning, comprises 56 lessons. The first part includes history, yin and yang, the five elements and yin fluids with full explanations of all the organs as seen from an eastern viewpoint, together with associated deficiencies and dysfunctions. The second part of the course covers diagnosis and includes, internal and external causes of disease, the four examinations, identification of the eight patterns, chi and construction patterns, face, pulse and tongue patterns plus all the acu-points taken point by point with details of where they are and what they balance.
