Jennifer Wayte Cert. Ed FFHT (Fellow of the Federation of Holistic Therapists) has been actively involved in complementary health and well-being therapies for about 20 years in many diverse roles including lecturer, assessor and verifier in further and higher education. She runs her own training school and therapy clinic, is an NHS governor, a former Education and Training Chair for the General Council for Massage Therapy, and she participated in the formation of the Professional Forum for Sports and Remedial Therapies (SRTC).
Within these roles she has developed core curricula for body massage, sports massage, sports therapy and remedial therapy. Jennifer has sat on Strategic Boards for Skills for Health (the Sector Skills Council for all health employers, the NHS and the independent and third sector) in developing the National Occupation Standards for complementary therapies. She was also a member of the Prince’s Foundation for Integrated Health Federal Working Group which developed a federal structure for the voluntary self-regulation of Complementary Health Care Professions, the forerunner to the CNHC.
Jennifer is qualified to an advanced level in many complementary health care disciplines including body massage, sports massage, sports therapy, aromatherapy, reflexology, Indian head massage and she is a Reiki master teacher. She has a certificate in education, holds both a Qualification Assessor and Verifier qualification and has taught in a variety of education establishments including sixth form, community, collegiate colleges and Colleges of Further Education (CFE). She is an accredited examiner, accreditation assessor and verifier for the FHT, covering private colleges, CFE colleges and universities.
