About Kelvin Duncan, Ph.D.
Kelvin (Kelly) Duncan is the Dean of Science at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand. He has researched bioactive defence compounds in animals, plants and micro-organisms for many years. He also develops new technologies to extract the compounds he discovers. Many of his discoveries have become commercial – enzogenol is a recent example. He is currently working on photobioreactors to grow photosynthetic micro-organisms in a more controlled manner, a new cell disruption technology called "potentiation" that enables a greater range of better products to be extracted from plant and microbial cells, "potentiated" pollen and "potentiated"grasses, and a new class of non-toxic (to humans) natural antibiotics of great curative powers.
