Simon Goodrich spent 18 years at an Anglican Monastery in Sussex devoted to yoga and Eastern methods of meditation. Whilst in charge of the community he developed a medical clinic whose aim was to bring together the best treatments in light, sound, colour and electromagnetic fields into a single unified therapy. In order to do this he contacted leading specialists in each field around the world and traveled to their countries to meet and work with them. In January 2000 when the monastery closed down he teamed up with medical doctor Nichol Clarke, a researcher into the medical uses of light, in order to build the Helionics clinic in Benson, Oxfordshire.
