About Tony Sherry
Tony Sherry MCHP was a Registered General Nurse for 28 years and specialized in Adult Intensive Care at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust where he worked for the last 21 years. Prior to retiring in 2016, he spent 17 years as the Research Matron for Critical Care, Anesthetics and Acute and Chronic Pain. As part of his NHS retirement plan, he retrained as a complementary therapist using the EMMETT Technique, as he had found from his own personal experience that this therapy proved more effective than others at giving quick relief from pain and returning normal function following a severe back injury - a riding accident in 2010 left him with a broken back unable to walk straight for many months.
This led him to investigate what complementary therapies could offer as an alternative to improve the quality of my life. His first step was acupuncture and to my delight within 20 minutes of my first treatment he was standing straighter and the pain was almost gone. The hunt continued until he encountered the work of Ross Emmett and the EMMETT Technique. Whilst doing research into its effectiveness he came across the EMMETT technique being used on horses.
He has now trained in the Emmett Technique to the highest level in treating people (EP6) and has had some truly amazing results; a common statement from clients is “why did I not find you before”. He is also an Emm-Tech tutor and enjoys sharing this incredible technique with people from all sorts of walks of life. Tony is now a Senior instructor teaching the technique on horses and dog as wells the Representative for Ross Emmett for Animal training for the UK and Ireland. To be one of a few people in the World teaching this is such an honour and privilege. Tony may be contacted via Tel: 07748 187458; info@echtherapies.co.uk https://www.echtherapies.co.uk
