Rates of infectious and parasitic diseases have increased by 30% since 1990. However, parasites are an under reported and often overlooked cause of common digestion disorders.

Symptoms presented include diarrhoea, irritable bowel, fatigue, headaches and even joint pain. These niggling problems can sometimes be hard to resolve and parasites could be part of the problem. Natural healthcare practitioners can now access parasite testing at the world-leading Parasitology Center Inc and are invited to attend a workshop to learn more about human parasites and their natural remedies.

We are pleased to announce that Professor of Parasitology Dr Omar Amin, of the Parasitology Center Inc, Arizona, USA, is coming to the UK in March. He will deliver a talk at Kings College London to introduce holistic healthcare practitioners to this topic.

Attendance at the workshop in March will enable holistic healthcare practitioners to offer parasite testing from the Parasitology Center Inc, whose highly developed and accurate testing and analysis leads the field. Following the workshop, attendees will be able to order testing kits and offer this service to their clients, potentially opening up a new revenue stream for their business.

Dr Amin is an internationally recognised authority in the field of parasitology, with more than 200 major articles and books published in American and foreign professional journals on human and animal parasites from North America, North Africa, the Persian Gulf, Czech Republic, Russia, Inner Mongolia (China), Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Dr Amin has conducted many international parasitology workshops and conferences, including one in the Persian Gulf as a Fulbright Scholar and he has received many other honours, awards and parasitology research grants.

He has authored a five-part educational video series entitled Parasitic Infections of Humans: Diagnosis and Pathology, which was produced by the Center for Improvement of Human Functioning International of Wichita, Kansas.

The most common protozoan and helminth (worm) parasites as well as pathogenic bacteria are cosmopolitan and largely misunderstood, mistreated, and cause a wide variety of symptoms and health problems. This presentation is based on the diagnostic work and research undertaken at the Parasitology Center, Inc. (PCI), in Arizona, USA. It will address the following:

• Exposure to parasitic infections and symptoms
• Testing
• The impact on public health
• The diagnosis of common parasitic infections and treatment, including The Parasitology Center's natural herbal anti-parasitic remedy - Freedom/Cleanse/Restore (FCR).    

All topics are presented with illustrated labelled pictures of the various kinds of parasites and bacterial pathogens tested for in our facility and their gross pathology in human tissues, when applicable.
