Background

Naturopathic medicine comprises many complementary modalities aimed at preventing or treating disease. Treatment programmes combine different therapies to address the individual needs of the patient . Naturopathic physicians share a common philosophical belief in the profession's founding principles.

Conclusion

Conventional medicine faces new challenges as alternative/ complementary therapies become more integrated into the mainstream. Naturopathic physicians, with their eclectic philosophy, may be well placed to aid in the evolutionary process.
