Positive Health PH Online August 2024 Issue 296 is published 25 July 2024.  It is fiendishly difficult to predict the future when it comes to world events.  The UK General Election 2024 whittled down the 14-year Conservative Party majority to 121 seats, with the Labour Party winning 412 seats giving it a majority of 174. Donald Trump narrowly escaped death following an assassination attempt on 13 July by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Donald Trump is now confirmed as the Republican Presidential Candidate with JD Vance his chosen vice president. Meanwhile, under pressure, President Joe Biden, suffering from mild Covid symptoms, has stepped down from his presidential candidacy, naming Vice-President Kamala Harris as his nominee. Elsewhere around the world, major conflicts continue, including the Middle East – Israel-Gaza and the Ukraine-Russia war.

However, what is most poignant and heart-breaking for me are deaths within the Positive Health PH Online community of authors and natural health writers. It greatly saddens me to announce the death of PH Online author Allan Armstrong, who died on Wednesday 5th June 2024; we have published his Tribute Obituary. “Allan was one of the kindest and compassionate people I have ever been privileged to know; he became, over many years, one of my favourite people with whom to speak with honesty and truth.”

Dr Michael Mosely, British television and radio journalist, producer, presenter and writer died in June 2024 after he went missing while on holiday in Greece. Author of numerous books, advocate of intermittent fasting and the ketogenic diet, he contributed to clinically demonstrating the  reversal of Type 2 Diabetes.  Details and Tribute published in Issue 296.
