Do You Know if You Have Sold Your Soul?
listed in psychospiritual, originally published in issue 299 - December 2024
A question that may seem strange is; do you know if you have sold your soul? Chances are you were not aware it was for sale. In fact, many people will question if they have a soul. The ones that believe they have a soul may not know how to define it. The folks who try to define it have no proof they are correct or if they are up a creek without a paddle. Then there are a few people who have no need to explain who or what a soul is… they just know who they are and have no need to prove it to anyone. When two souls meet, they instinctively know the umbilical cord of God’s spirit connects them.
But what about the masses who are religious or maybe belong to a spiritual group...how do they know if they have sold their soul at a bargain price to someone they do not know intimately, however, has tricked them to hand it over without even a struggle or any payment in kind. Falling for an unproven belief system can capture a person’s soul easily if a person follows the lemmings. Perhaps it is all the cunning of the devil?
Well, let’s start with you the reader of these words... The first question I ask is who are you? Do you define yourself by your name or any role you play such as mother, father, uncle, aunt, worker, boss, writer, artist or anything tangible? The second question is do you have a belief in any book text, religion, science or conviction that divides you from other human beings and the rest of all life forms on earth and the universe.

If you answer yes to any of the questions then you have sold your soul to your ego/intellect and you have not even had so much as a thank you for it. Of course, your ego/intellect has no use of your soul; it only wants to hold it in captivity until you die in physical form. Then your ego will disappear and your soul will be free to roam wherever God’s spirit guides it. The good news is you do not have to be held captive by illusions of the mind that believes the ego to be real. Anyone who experiences depression, anxiety, fear, hatred, jealousy or any stress should become aware they are under the influences of the ego who has mastered their mind into believing it is real. All the other people who have unknowingly sold their souls will confirm it.
The big sale of the soul goes on during the early years of most people’s lives. The biggest buyer of souls is found at educational institutions where they grow intellectual minds that believe they can exist it an authentic manner without any invisible means of support. The other part of society that does believe in invisible means of support, uses their intellect to invent a God that holds people to hostage with revenge and fear. Because most of the society live with intellectual belief or non-belief the same type deceptions in the ego’s intellect, grows in stature in both segments of society. A sure sign of the power of the ego’s deceptions is the stifling and suffocation of creativity by erroneous rules and regulations. Three examples out of many are the media, places of education and science.
Firstly, the majority of professions such as lawyers and accountants drain all the strength from any creative minded person by sophisticating their own truths and then making them the laws by which they govern their segment of society. Most of it today takes place in large corporations that use lawyers and accounts to hide their erroneous deeds that contain greed and avarice.
Any creative person knows at first hand that most media studio producers will not speak to them directly. The switchboard connects them to lawyers who tell them they must find an agent before they can submit work. When they contact a well-known agent, the agent (if s/he gives them in rare instances, the privilege of two minutes on the phone) asks what experience they have had and if a person has great creativity but has not had the chance to show it, the agent will tell them to take a hike. If that is not the work of the devils way of suppressing creative thoughts, what is?
Secondly, the same type of unwholesome action is paramount in the educational system. Food companies sell foods to schools and supermarkets that make children and adults hyperactive. They then require medications to settle them down. The medications have severe side effects and more medication is required. The snowball effect continues until the person meets an early grave after a lifetime of suffering.
Thirdly, in the medical arena, clever minded doctors invent syndromes so that other doctors can prescribe new drugs that mask the symptoms. Most of these so-called syndromes come from an overactive ego that feeds negativity into high-strung emotions. News and events that have no place to rest in their minds are fed to them in newspapers, radio, internet and TV. It stokes fires of anguish that need to be extinguished by doctor’s prescriptions.
And so the circles go around and around in all sections of society. The windmills of the egos minds continue to grind down any trace of the soul. Accordingly, you are now asking is there any hope, any sign of re-life. The answer is yes, there is. You see, truth and wisdom are at hand and can never be used for evil intent. The soul contains wisdom and truth and when a person concentrates their mind on the power of the soul, the devil of an ego is powerless to do anything about it.
The more you question your beliefs every moment to moment, the stronger your soul becomes. The stronger you become, because you are a soul, in truer reality, beyond the illusionary cloak of time. The more a person questions every thought they think, the more powerful they become ... It is like sifting for gold nuggets. A lot of dirt has to be removed before the wisdom of the soul shines through but when it does you will know it ... Then you are invited to travel in divine bliss on your magnificent journey of a lifetime.

What an invigorating explanation I can agree with wholeheartedly. Man creates such a senseless and silly world for himself trying to pretend he is real. True, the questioning of everything must be a regular procedure if one is to survive society's clutches of death.
